The HCA is a campus situated on 30 acres of land in Southern Haiti. The goal of the center is to determine local Haitian farmers’ needs and allocate knowledge and resources to them via research, trainings, equipment and seedling distributions resulting in contextualized solutions that can generate food resiliency and income, and stimulate the local food economy.
THE RESULTS
400+ farmers enrolled in HCA programs
Consistent funding for programs - monthly trainings, seedling distributions, access to research and demonstration plots
Increased yields and food security for program members
“This (HCA) program has allowed me to have income at all times. It’s allowed me to cover my small expenses, grow produce to sell, ensure income, and also bring home vegetables.”
